Oxy Unit’s Pipeline Project OKd: Occidental Petroleum Corp.’s Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America unit received federal approval for a $108-million project to connect its two natural gas pipeline systems at points in southern Oklahoma and northeastern Texas, Occidental announced. The project, expected to be completed by early next year, will connect the Amarillo line, which starts in West Texas and runs north through the Panhandle, with the Gulf Coast line, which taps Gulf Coast production areas of Texas and Louisiana, both offshore and onshore. Both mainline systems carry gas to Natural Gas Pipeline’s upper Midwest markets.
