KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia —
A man married nine women in Thailand and then forced them to become prostitutes in Malaysia, the national news agency Bernama reported Sunday.
It quoted a Muslim clergyman as saying the man is to be charged in an Islamic court in his home city of Kuantan, 125 miles east of Kuala Lumpur. There was no indication what penalty could be imposed on the man, who was not identified.
