Share

Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles and the city of West Hollywood have organized a transportation service for West Hollywood residents who are elderly or who have been diagnosed with AIDS or AIDS-related symptoms.

The service is designed for those who have no other means of getting to medical appointments, grocery stores and social service agencies.

Transportation is available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pickups can be arranged anywhere in West Hollywood. The service is available to destinations as far east as County-USC Medical Center, as far south as the Santa Monica Freeway, as far west as Santa Monica, and as far north as Mulholland Drive.

There is a suggested donation of $2 to $5 per round trip, but no one will be denied service because of inability to pay.

Arrangements should be made at least four days in advance. To schedule service or to obtain more information, call (213) 937-8532 Monday through Thursday between 10 a.m. and noon or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
