Train Runs Over a Lucky Briton
Police said Monday that a drunken man is also a lucky man--escaping with barely a scratch after being run over by a high-speed express train in southern England.
British Transport Police in Bristol, 119 miles west of London, said that Terrence Frampton-Carter was taking a short cut across the tracks Friday night and either fell or lay down.
Inspector Willian Tee said Monday that the 43-year-old man, who apparently was lying between the rails, was apparently too drunk to know the Cardiff-to-Portsmouth express passed right over him.
Frampton-Carter, who said he cannot remember the incident, was treated for a small cut and a concussion, police said.
