Buena Park : Mayor Urges Residents to Aid Hugo Victims
Mayor Donna L. Chessen has urged city residents to help the people of hurricane-ravaged Charleston, S.C., with donations of money for food, clothing and other items.
During Monday’s City Council meeting, Chessen made a public plea for donations to help thousands of Charleston residents who were left homeless and hungry in the wake of hurricane Hugo.
Hugo has been called the costliest storm ever to hit the United States.
Chessen said donations can be sent to the Charleston Disaster Relief Fund, City Hall, 800 Broad St., Charleston, S.C. 29401.
