At the request of his lawyer, the arraignment of accused mass murderer Ramon Salcido, 28, was postponed in Santa Rosa until Oct. 24. Deputy Public Defender Marteen Miller successfully sought the delay in Sonoma County Superior Court to seek a change of venue and explore possible defenses, including an insanity plea. Salcido is charged with slaying two of his three daughters, his wife, her mother and two sisters and a winery co-worker April 14 and then fleeing to his native Mexico, where he was arrested.
