Oil Leaked Off S. Africa

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa —
A Cypriot-registered supertanker carrying 270,000 tons of light crude oil has leaked 500 tons of it off South Africa’s Indian Ocean coast, but environmental officials said Thursday that severe weather is diluting the threat of an environmental disaster.
