A choreographer has sued Whitney Houston for alleged breach of contract in connection with the singer’s “Moment of Truth Tour.” In a lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Damita Jo Freeman claims that she and Houston reached an agreement for the choreographer to stage Houston’s 1988 concerts for a $15,000 fee. Freeman also claims she was to be a dancer/choreographer for the duration of the “Moment of Truth Tour” at a salary of $2,250 a week. But after less than a month of performances, she says, she was given a plane ticket back to Los Angeles. She says she received no termination notice, was not paid and was still under contract. Freeman is asking that Houston and Nippy Inc., a New Jersey corporation that manages Houston, pay damages including lost wages, employee benefits and bonuses. Houston could not be reached for comment.
