Gas Prices Rise Slightly: Gas prices showed a tiny increase over the past two weeks, but appeared to be headed toward the traditional seasonal decline, oil industry analyst Trilby Lundberg said. The average pump price for all gasoline varieties of $1.0956 a gallon for the two-week period ending Oct. 6, was an increase of just over one-tenth of a cent, said Lundberg, who surveys prices at 12,000 gas stations across the country. Lundberg said the increase was “a big surprise” for this time of year when prices normally drop.
