Isuzu Motors Co., Japan’s commercial vehicle maker, announced today it will sell heavy-duty tractors imported from Volvo Truck Corp. of Sweden, starting in March next year.

The Tokyo-based company said a formal agreement on import and sales of Volvo’s F16 tractors in Japan has been concluded between the two companies.

“The agreement is part of our company’s globalization program and is aimed at meeting the needs of the diversifying domestic market,” Isuzu President Kazuo Tobiyama said at a news conference.
