Superior Sells $25 Million in Notes to Finance Plant

Superior Industries International, a Van Nuys-based producer of automobile wheels, said it has completed the private sale of $25 million of eight-year notes to investors.
The financing will be used to help develop Superior’s new aluminum-wheel manufacturing plant in Pittsburg, Kan., the company said. Production at the $50-million facility is scheduled to start early next year.
