Wickes Agrees to Sell A.P.S. Inc.: Santa Monica-based Wickes Cos., a subsidiary of WCI Holdings Corp., said it has entered into a definitive agreement for the sale of A.P.S. to APS Acquisition Corp. for about $200 million. APS Acquisition was organized by Clayton & Dubilier Inc. of New York for the purpose of acquiring the unit. A.P.S., which is based in Houston, is a leading national distributor of automotive after-market parts. WCI Holdings is jointly owned by Blackstone Capital Partners L.P. and Wasserstein Perella Partners L.P.
