After a relatively slow start, “Rain Main” is nesting comfortably at the top of the Billboard magazine rental chart. It should reign for at least another few weeks. “Her Alibi” didn’t rake in huge grosses--just a respectable $17 million--but is doing terrific rental business. This Tom Selleck comedy moved up two notches to No. 6. In the action-adventure market, the hot title right now is “Cyborg,” the latest from star Jean-Claude Van Damme--known as the poor man’s Arnold Schwarzenegger. “Cyborg” jumped from No. 34 to No. 15.

* “Bambi,” which debuted at No. 33 on the rental chart, won’t be a big hit in the rental market because, at $26.99, people will be buying it by the millions instead. It jumped on the sales chart at No. 4 and should take over No. 1 next week and stay there until “Batman” swoops down on the chart in late November.
