Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney arrived Wednesday in Los Angeles for a two-day visit that will include a meeting with former President Ronald Reagan and a speech at noon today before the World Affairs Council.

Mayor Tom Bradley, City Council President John Ferraro and Derreck Burney, Canadian Ambassador to the United States, were among the party of dignitaries who greeted Mulroney at Los Angeles International Airport.

“There is a great deal that connects our two countries,” Bradley said before the prime minister’s plane arrived. “This visit is a great boost to our effort to strengthen our ties with our Canadian friends.”
