Lockheed Corp.: The Calabasas-based defense contractor posted a third-quarter loss of $32 million, contrasted with a profit of $300 million a year ago. The company attributed the loss to cost overruns, including a $165-million charge on fixed-price development programs for the Air Force C-17 transport being built by McDonnell Douglas Corp., as well as modifications on the Navy EP-3E aircraft. Revenue fell to $2.11 billion from $2.27 billion.
