First Street Plaza Project Chosen for Analysis Review

The First Street Plaza project in downtown Los Angeles has been chosen by the Urban Land Institute for its annual plan analysis review.

The plan review, scheduled Oct. 28 in New York, will serve as a forum in which urban planners, real estate development experts and architects analyze the project and offer suggestions.

First Street Plaza, a $240-million mixed-use project, will include a 27-story building to be used by the city. It will be located on the site that includes the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Temporary Contemporary facility.

The development will include up to 316 housing units, a major hotel and a monument to the Japanese-American veterans of World War II. The project is being developed by a team led by the Barker Patrinely Group, a national investment builder. It provides management services for development and construction of projects in which it participates as general partner.
