Digital, 3 Others Will Share NASA Contract

Digital Equipment Corp. said it will share in a $97-million NASA contract with three other computer makers. Under the contract, scientists and engineers from National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Ames Research Center in Santa Clara will be able to order computer equipment from either Digital, Sun Microsystems Inc. and Silicon Graphics Inc., both in Mountain View; or Convex Computer Corp. of Richardson, Tex.
