Polaroid Corp.: The Cambridge, Mass., photography company reported a third-quarter profit of $29.9 million on sales of $437.7 million. In the same period a year ago, the firm reported a $54.1-million loss, which included a pretax charge of $97 million to cover costs associated with a comprehensive restructuring plan. Sales in the year-ago period were $436.3 million. The company said sales revenue increased in part because of a 6% rise in U.S. business.
