Pasadena : City Helps Fund Memorial
The Pasadena Vietnam War Memorial Committee has received a $15,000 loan from the city for a competition to design a memorial planned for Central Park.
The Pasadena Board of Directors approved the loan Tuesday, enabling the committee to combine the city money with $5,500 in contributions already raised for the memorial.
Plans from amateur and professional artists are being sought for the memorial, which will contain the names of 33 Pasadena residents killed in the Vietnam War.
