Task Force Composition

I applaud Mayor Jerold Milner’s idea of an 11-member committee to explore future changes and advances that could affect the city and the lives of its inhabitants. I must say it’s an outstanding group of Glendale men he has named to this “20-20” task force.

But I would question his judgment in not naming a single woman to the committee. And also in not naming an Armenian, an Asian or a Latin American to this important panel. It does seem that these four minorities, who certainly are represented in overwhelming numbers in this city, should be on such a far-seeing, far-reaching advisory group.

It seems the mayor of Glendale may have lacked true 20-20 vision in this particular case.
