Jim Bakker’s Conviction
Anyone who takes money from desperate and desperately ignorant people, based upon the transparently false and thoroughly discredited claim that every word of the Bible is literally true, is every bit as guilty of fraud as Jim Bakker. Today, evangelists Jerry Falwell, Jimmy Swaggert, Pat Robertson and the rest of their fundamentalist co-conspirators should march straight to the National Archives and kiss the U.S. Constitution.
