A group of 122 Vietnamese boat people left Hong Kong for Hanoi on Friday, the fourth group to choose to return in the space of six months, raising hopes that a voluntary repatriation program may finally be drawing a response.

Their departure brings to 385 the total number who have opted to return since the United Nations-sponsored program began in March.
