Your cover story on Christie Hefner was tedious and dispiriting. Yes, Hef and Hef II may represent some sort of generational locus points. If so, give me Hugh any time. He had the brainstorm that made Playboy an institution as well as a force for social change--and had a great time doing it.

But what would Christie write under “the Playboy philosophy”? Sensible shoes and a “remarkable ability to process information quickly” sound like weak substitutes for an inspired idea.
