Micropolis Reports Loss of $24 Million in 3rd Quarter

Micropolis Corp. announced that it lost about $24 million on sales of about $67 million in the third quarter ended September 29, compared to a loss of $13 million on sales of $95 million in the previous year. The Chatsworth maker of disk drives attributed the 30% drop in revenues to lower demand for some types of disk drives, which are data storage devices for computers.
