Michael T. Carr has been named publisher of National Lampoon and Heavy Metal magazines. Carr, who will be based in National Lampoon’s New York office, is the first major hire by Tim Matheson and Dan Grodnik since they took over National Lampoon Inc. He previously was senior vice president and advertising director of Playboy Magazine.
