Amdahl Corp.: The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based supplier of large-scale data processing systems and services reported third-quarter net income of $32.9 million, down 37% from a year ago. Revenue totaled a record $534.3 million, up 15%. The results were attributed to competitive pricing pressures and the U.S. dollar’s effect on international operations and came despite increased shipments of 5990 mainframe computers and data storage subsystems.
