Bush Stance on HDTV Attacked: A group of more than 100 electronics executives and lawmakers who have pushed for government support for high-definition television released an open letter sponsored by the Rebuild America group. The letter, organized by California Rep. Mel Levine (D-L.A.) and others in the Congressional HDTV Caucus, said backers were “deeply disturbed that the United States is failing to match Japanese and European efforts on HDTV.”
