BUENA PARK : Fullerton Airport Report Due in Week
- Share via
The city expects to receive a report from the Federal Aviation Administration in the next week in response to its request for a investigation into the safety of nearby Fullerton Municipal Airport, officials said Wednesday.
After the Sept. 16 crash of a light plane in Buena Park, city officials had asked the FAA for statistics on the number of crashes at the Fullerton airport compared to other facilities the same size.
The city was told by the FAA that preparation of the final report should be completed by next week, according to Ken Griffith, the city’s administrator of planning.
City officials wrote to Jerold Chavkin, regional administrator with the FAA, 10 days after the latest Fullerton airport accident when a two-seat Cessna 152 carrying an instructor and a student pilot crashed at the intersection of Artesia Boulevard and Darlington Street in Buena Park.
