High-Speed Train to Las Vegas
Regarding the recommended terminal stations for the proposed “super train” between Las Vegas and Southern California--take this advice from one who knows.
I was a 10-year resident of Las Vegas and recently moved to Southern California. Las Vegans want and need to get out of town for vacations, day trips and weekends.
Remember, Clark County’s (mostly Las Vegas) population is fast approaching a million strong. They want to see Disneyland, the beaches, sporting events, the arts and all Southern California has to offer.
Making the terminal station in the Palmdale area defeats the purpose. Why should a desert-bound Las Vegan want to get off in Palmdale?
An Anaheim drop-off point would be a more convenient location for all the attractions that Las Vegans so desperately want to visit.
