Miniature-book collector Ruth Adomeit believes 41 of her thumb-sized Bibles have been stolen and issued a call Wednesday to antique dealers to keep an eye out for them.

The 2-inch-square Bibles, printed in the 17th and 18th centuries, were appraised recently at $128,000 and were last seen in a locked storage room at the Cleveland Library. The library is exhibiting part of Adomeit’s collection of 8,000 miniature volumes, believed to be the world’s largest library of tiny books.
