Lockheed to Cut More Jobs: Lockheed Aeronautical Systems Co., a unit of Burbank-based Lockheed Corp., will cut several hundred jobs by year-end as part of its ongoing cost-control program, a spokesman said. The reductions will occur through layoffs, attrition and retirement and will affect employees in Burbank, Palmdale, Santa Clarita and Marietta, Ga. Since early last year, the unit has reduced employment by about 12,000 to its current level of 24,000.
