NATION IN BRIEF : FLORIDA : Discovery Is Moved to Launching Pad

The space shuttle Discovery was moved to the launching pad at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida for the start of a secret military mission on Nov. 20. Running two days behind schedule because of thunderstorms, Discovery and its mobile launching platform were mounted atop launching pad 39B. Engineers began preparing for a dress-rehearsal countdown.
