A Glendale minister was arrested on suspicion of child molestation in a case involving the three daughters of a church custodian, authorities said.

Pastor William Heroldo Solis, 54, was arrested and released after posting $7,500 bail, said Glendale Police Detective Lief Nicolaisen. Solis, head of a Seventh-day Adventist congregation, surrendered to authorities Friday, Nicolaisen said.

Arraignment is scheduled for Dec. 12 in Glendale Municipal Court.

“We’re denying all the charges,” said Solis’ attorney, Manuel S. Rivera.

Police say Solis molested the daughters of a woman who worked at the church.

Nicolaisen said police entered the case after the woman told her doctor in late June that one of the girls had been molested. The doctor contacted police, who determined that the other two girls had also been molested.

Church leader Nilda Janetzko said many members of the congregation believe that the pastor is innocent.

“He’s an excellent person, father and husband,” Janetzko said. “He’s a hard worker for the church.”
