Nation : IN BRIEF : PENNSYLVANIA : Governor Calls for Probe of Prison Riot

Gov. Robert P. Casey said he will appoint an independent commission to determine the cause of three days of rioting that destroyed much of a state prison and left nearly 125 people injured. Authorities said a fifth of the prison’s population has been bused to other facilities and 10 people remain in area hospitals following the uprising at the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill.
