From Times staff and wire service reports

Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin told the Israeli Cabinet in Jerusalem that there has been no partnership with South Africa to develop nuclear missiles. NBC News reported last week that Israel also had provided South Africa with know-how from its canceled Lavi jet program, which was financed by the United States. President Bush had warned a day earlier that any transfer of classified technology is “taboo” and could harm Israeli-U.S. relations. Cabinet ministers in Jerusalem quoted Rabin as saying that Israel has not sold any U.S. technology or any technology developed with U.S. funds.
