Grumman Corp.: The aerospace and electronics firm reported third-quarter net income of $16.9 million, down 25% from the 1988 period, on revenue of $905.4 million, up 9%. The Bethpage, N.Y., company said the 1988 results included an after-tax benefit of $11.1 million resulting from an accounting adjustment for state franchise taxes. It said the higher revenue was primarily because of increased sales in the aerospace segment.
