WORLD IN BRIEF : SOUTH KOREA : Diplomatic Ties With Poland Set Up

South Korea and Poland established diplomatic relations, and Seoul announced $450 million in loans to the financially troubled Warsaw government over the next five years. Poland was the second East Bloc nation to establish ties with Seoul. Hungary and South Korea established relations in February.
