Eastman Kodak Co.: The Rochester, N.Y. photographic, chemicals and plastics firm, which also owns Sterling Drug Inc., reported that third-quarter net income dropped 25% from a year ago to $329 million. Sales totaled a record $5.11 billion, up 2%. The results were attributed to higher operating costs and the unfavorable impact of foreign currency rate changes.
