Security Pacific Buys Idaho Bank: Security Pacific Corp. of Los Angeles said its Seattle subsidiary has agreed to buy Mountain West Savings Bank for $31.5 million. Just weeks ago the Coeur d’Alene bank rejected a $25-million offer from another suitor. If the deal gains shareholder and regulatory approval, Mountain West’s 10 offices would be renamed Security Pacific Idaho.
