SAN CLEMENTE : Pier Repairs to Begin After Sewer Is Done
Repairs to the storm-damaged San Clemente Pier are expected to begin later this month, after workers finish installing a sewer line in the area.
The $68,400 sewer project, started last week, includes replacing pipes that were installed under the railroad tracks in 1937.
The $110,000 pier project will replace 20 pilings and several support beams that were damaged by waves in a storm last winter. It is expected to be complete by mid-December. The city is paying for both projects.
