NATION : Vucanovich Bars Governor Race

Rep. Barbara F. Vucanovich (R-Nev.) announced today that she will seek a fifth term in the House rather than make a run for governor.
“The people of Nevada have told me they believe, as I do, that I can be elected governor and that I would make a great governor,” she said.
“But, at the same time, they feel my voice is too important in the House of Representatives, and I happen to agree with them,” the congresswoman said at news conferences here and in Las Vegas.
