Superman Suit: The faded red-and-blue costume worn by George Reeves in the 1950s TV serial “Superman” sold for $46,000 at the Camden House Hollywood memorabilia auction held over the weekend at the Ebell Club in Los Angeles. “Gone With the Wind” items were in abundance at the auction, the biggest since the MGM sale nearly a decade ago. A book signed by the film’s cast went for $15,400; Leslie Howard’s script brought in $12,100 and Clark Gable’s beige suit sold for $8,500. Other high-end sales: $9,900 for a postcard signed by Norma Jean before she became Marilyn Monroe; $7,700 for a green pair of Munchkin shoes from “The Wizard of Oz” and $5,570 for a Marx Brothers family photo album. Overall, 90% of the 840 available items sold for a total of more than $500,000.
