Group Boosts Holdings in Care Enterprises

Investors led by Foothill Group, a financial services concern with executive offices in Agoura Hills and Los Angeles, raised its stake in Care Enterprises Inc. to 17.6%, or the equivalent of 1.2 million class A common shares.

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Foothill and two entities it controls--The Foothill Fund and Foothill Managers Ltd. II--bought $1.1 million face value of Care Enterprises' convertible debt for $338,300. The debt is convertible into 1.1 million class A common shares of Care Enterprises, a Tustin-based provider of nursing services.
