N.Y. Highway Closed by Coating of Yogurt

CROTON FALLS, N.Y. —
An interstate highway was covered with yogurt early Tuesday after a delivery truck slammed into a tractor-trailer truck in thick fog, authorities said.
Hundreds of cartons spilled onto Interstate 684 and broke, closing the major commuting route in New York City’s northern suburbs for five hours. Firefighters washed the sticky substance from the road just before rush hour, and no serious injuries were reported.
“We were knee deep in yogurt,” Fire Chief Chris Ritchie said.
