A $10,000 reward is being offered by San Diego Trust & Savings Bank and the California Bankers Assn. for information leading to the arrest of the suspect who shot and killed a La Mesa man at an automated teller machine Oct. 29.

The victim, Douglas Rattray, 34, was using the bank’s ATM machine at 7959 Parkway Drive at 5:09 a.m. when he was forced by a robber to withdraw $160. Rattray was kidnaped and taken to Chollas Road in Southeast San Diego, where he was slain, police said.

“We and other banks which offer ATM services will make every effort to find the person who committed this crime,” said Daniel Herde, senior executive vice president of San Diego Trust & Savings.
