WORLD IN BRIEF : SOVIET UNION : Art Exchange With U.S. Announced

Soviet Ambassador Yuri V. Dubinin announced in Washington the largest art exchange program ever between the United States and the Soviet Union. At least a dozen museums in each country, plus one in Canada, will participate in the five-year program. Paintings and art works from both countries will range from the Middle Ages to the present. The exchanges are being sponsored by the American non-profit group Intercultura and the Soviet Ministry of Culture.
