Huge Gold Deposit Found in Greenland: Danish and Canadian geologists have discovered a huge gold deposit in Greenland, reportedly one of the largest ever, a Danish newspaper reported. It is on Greenland’s east coast and covers about 1.6 square miles. Greenland is a semi-autonomous part of Denmark. The size of the find was compared to fields in South Africa, one of the world’s biggest gold producers. Extraction could begin in five years. The deposit could yield 12 tons of gold a year.
