Collins Foods International Inc.: Second-quarter profit for the Los Angeles-based restaurant operator and franchiser totaled $7.7 million, up 14% from the same period a year ago. Revenue rose 2% to $130.2 million. The company attributed the earnings gain to a strong performance by its Sizzler Restaurants International but noted that profit was lower for its domestic Kentucky Fried Chicken division.
