Police Seeking Man Who Abducted Girl, 6
Police officials in La Verne said Tuesday that they have received more than 500 phone calls from people offering clues about who may have snatched a 6-year-old girl from her front yard Sunday night, then carried her to a pickup truck and sexually molested her.
Police released a composite sketch of the suspect, but had made no arrests.
Neighbors found the crying first-grader in a park three blocks from her house 40 minutes after she was abducted. She was treated at a Pomona hospital and released. The man’s pickup had a large cab and a camper shell on the back, the girl told police.
