Toys R Us Inc.: The retail toy chain said third-quarter earnings totaled $28.7 million, up 11% from the same period a year ago. Sales rose 18% to $916 million. The Paramus, N.J., company noted that the strong year-ago results also included a pretax gain of $2 million on the sale of its department store division.
